Our prop making process covers the full spectrum of production techniques, including carving, sculpting, moulding, casting, and fabrication across foam, resin, fibreglass, timber, and metal. Surfaces are finished using specialist painting, ageing, weathering, and scenic special effects treatments to achieve the exact look and feel the brief demands. Our special effects capabilities extend to mechanical and practical FX, atmospheric effects, and bespoke interactive elements designed for live event environments, theatrical productions, and film and television sets. Scena delivered opera set construction for three productions in Opera Holland Park's 2026 season, the year marking thirty years since the company was founded. Our Croydon workshops built the scenery for Puccini's La fanciulla del West, Mozart's Così fan tutte and a new English-language staging of Johann Strauss II's Die Fledermaus, all staged at Holland Park Theatre in Kensington.

War & Child at Imperial War Museum

Childhood in War is the UK's first major exhibition dedicated to how conflict shapes young lives, running at IWM London from July 2026 to February 2027. Scena delivered the setbuild, theming and decoration, alongside the interactives, showcases, graphics, and power and lighting distribution across the Level 3 special exhibition space.
