Scena delivered a comprehensive setwork package for a new temporary exhibition at IWM London, encompassing fabrication and installation of all exhibition elements within the museum's live environment.

The project scope included the design development, fabrication, and installation of exhibition walls, display showcases, plinths, integrated sculptures, and bespoke joinery within IWM London's temporary gallery space. Scena also managed the installation of power and data cabling for lighting and AV equipment, alongside decorative finishes and exhibition graphics. All works were executed within a live museum environment, requiring close coordination with IWM's in-house teams and other contractors to minimize disruption to public operations.
Scena collaborated with IWM's in-house design team to translate conceptual designs into detailed working drawings, ensuring all elements met visitor interaction, accessibility, and structural requirements. All major joinery and setwork elements were prefabricated at Scena's Croydon workshop facility, allowing for rigorous quality control and test-fitting before delivery. This off-site construction approach reduced on-site installation time and minimized disruption within the heritage museum setting.
The on-site installation phase included erection of temporary exhibition walls, installation of bespoke showcases and plinths, integration of sculptural elements, and complete power and data infrastructure for exhibition systems. Scena's project management team maintained strict budget control and programme adherence through regular progress reviews, cost tracking, and risk management protocols. Close collaboration with IWM's curatorial, technical, and operations teams ensured seamless integration of all exhibition elements to exacting finish standards.
