Scena fabricated substantial scenic packages for Opera Holland Park’s 2025 season, spanning Itch, La Traviata, Lucia di Lammermoor and The Flying Dutchman. The work brought together teams across multiple workshops to realise ambitious stage environments at scale.
From structural setwork and precision joinery to scenic paint and specialist surface treatments, each build was developed to meet the particular demands of its design. Scenic painters created distinctive finishes that gave every production its own material character.

The season required a coordinated fabrication programme across four visually different productions: the multi-storied world of Itch; the painterly, period-informed setting of La Traviata; a new staging of Lucia di Lammermoor; and the large-scale scenic environment for The Flying Dutchman.
The finished elements were designed for the practical rhythm of repertory theatre, combining robust construction with detailed finishes and clear installation planning. The result was a versatile body of work that supported the season while keeping the focus on craftsmanship, scale and collaboration.
