We were commissioned to craft and construct the welcome feature for the European premiere of Dumbo, taking place at the Curzon Cinema in London's Mayfair. Using our setting out area, we constructed the display before installing the feature.
Scena Ltd was commissioned to create a three-piece set for the movie premiere, re-creating the house from the movie outside the Royal Albert Hall. We also had to create four smaller versions of the house, used to surround LED screens that went either side of the steps leading up to the main stage.
The third part of this build was the main gates and movable wall, consisting of specialised columns fabricated by Scena along with flat walls to create an entrance for the cast to enter the blue carpet. The movable wall had an LED light box built inside to illuminate the movies title and was sat on a platform with casters attached, for manoeuvrability.
The project pushed us to find innovative ways to create these set pieces so that we would be able to assemble on-site in the time frame allowed.
We created a popup for the launch of LG's paper-thin Signature TV, working overnight to install the display in London's Spitalfields Market.
Scena worked with Hill+Knowlton Strategies to create a dazzling, summer-themed pop-up in the midst of London's winter for utility company E.ON. Erected overnight, the Shot of Summer delivered a cheery, heated, summer-in-winter bubble where visitors could kick-back on deck chairs, munch on party foods or play games.
The sunny atmosphere of the space provided the perfect setting for E.ON to have friendly and relaxed conversations with customers (and non-customers) about everything from tariffs to renewables.

We recently completed our first installation of a brand-new outside broadcast studio, available for hire, for the BBC's coverage of the European Championships in Glasgow's George Square.
Designed with excellent noise reduction values and to be fitted and sealed in one day with minimal crew, the modular units use the latest acoustic materials and offer an integrated grid with very high weight loadings. The units can be pre-set at Scena workshops allowing for the scenery to be assembled for even faster on-site build-time and allowing for more detailed sets to be created.
The BBC used three modular units as the centre of coverage in the events held in the city.
